I love Stafford, and my pre-Covid plan was to catch him in Branson. Sigh. But it also looked like his show was mostly letting his kids have the stage, and his bites were "All-American" claptrap. Too bad, since he was obviously a shit-stirrer.
Married for a while to Bobbie Gentry, he told Carson he divorced her because she wouldn't tell him what got thrown off that bridge.

I've never seen this, and he says he's never sung it in public. Big hit when I was a pre-teen (and we had a friend in our group named Timothy who was - of course - the smallest of us).

I personally wouldn't mind hearing the odd- very occasional- novelty track in the mix. I understand that novelties would be hard to fit in the sets a lot of the time and would get very annoying if played too regularly. Put them strictly under the 'curveball' and 'did (RP) really just play that?' file. Songs that (apparently) got played on freeform rock radio such as Zappa's "Valley Girl" would fit the...Bill... imo ;).
I know of a few tracks already in the playlist that would fall under the broad church of novelty, such as the Pink Panther Theme.
