Yeah, the problem is people trying to raise a stink about something inconsequential rather than any actual risk. These releases have no health significance. Tritium doesn't concentrate in tissue and is removed from your system as water cycles through and is peed out. Fun fact: if nuclear workers in the cold war were exposed to huge tritium levels compared to this water, the treatment was to have them drink beer to flush it from their system.
I really wish we would spend our energy on real environmental risks.
