Yes.  And fewer buyers as India has agreed to stop importing Russian oil.

Trump is aggressively trying to squeeze Russia to the bargaining table with harsher and broader sanctions against entities doing business with Russia.

And China gets most of their oil percentage wise, from Russia, also sanctioned.  So for a conservative round number,  around 40% to 45% of China's current oil imports are from sanctioned oil.

Are you suggesting there is going to be a reduction in Russian availability?  If not, they don't count toward the point you were making.

How about some stats on this?

China has been getting about 20% of it's oil from Venezuela and Iran.  If 20% goes up 30% and everything else stays the same, you're talking about a 5% increase.

Not as much the "devastation"  as the 6.7% increase in the price of electricity under Trump 2.0 so far.

Trump First! America if he can make money from it.

The number comes from a General Jack Keane interview. You may be aware of who he is as you do admit to watching FNC.  I have found him to be a most credible commentator over the years of listening to him

Things are getting dicier for Russia with France seizing an oil tanker that departed the Russian Arctic port of Murmansk.

The data for your electric rates are raw and not seasonally adjusted.  Those seasonally adjusted numbers are to come out February 11.

It matters.  https://www.bls.gov/cpi/factsh...

It's going to get even dicier when China's 90 day supply of sanctioned oil runs out and they will be paying on average 30% more going forward.

It will have a devastating effect on their economy.

Workers getting a raise!

Wages keep rising in China, even as tariffs have
sent industry shipments to the U.S. plummeting. At
the end of 2025, 31 provinces topped RMB 2,000
($275) for their monthly minimum wage.
Two on
that list, Zhejiang and Jiangsu, implemented a new
standard of RMB 2,660 on Jan. 1, while the core
textile province of Guangdong hit RMB 2,500 last
Apr. 1.
