Damn - just noticed this came and went!  Thirteen years ago on June 19, I officially registered with the RP community!  Lucky 13!

actually, i joined some time in late october -  early november 2001 but, that was before the revamp, so my start date is showing differently than what is real.

i believe i was here a tad bit before you.

June 26th will be your 15th.

15 years yesterday...Thanks to Bill And Rebecca for keeping the lights on around here.I've made some amazing friends, along with a few enemies, hanging around here and feel blessed because of it.

I miss it every year, but March 1 was my thirteenth RP anniversary.

I thought I should mention it, as it might be my last, if BillG can't save the station from the royalty people.

Then let me set that straight once and for all.

One of the greatest joys of my experience with RP has been that it brought us together in our lives.  That I was gifted with the opportunity to get beyond the avatar and persona to get to know and experience the man. For that I am forever blessed.

The man who came over to jam in my little music room and pulled up with a pickup truck loaded to the brim with all manner of percussion. As you do in life, you brought everything you had, and in that amazing night you pulled pretty much everything out.  Right off the bat you asked if I could play Planet Caravan and turned a 3-chord etherial tune into pure magic. For the next couple of hours emotions ran deep as we moved from song to song, from guitar to guitar, drum kit to percussion to harmonized vocals.  From story to story, revealing each other the way only brothers can.

The man who called me a pussy for not wanting to walk 6 blocks to the diner for a late night breakfast when it was 6 below zero. Of course I went. The eggs, bacon, and pancakes were awesome as usual, as was the eclectic crowd and the conversation, the pauses often communicating more than the words. 

The man who taught me that fear and sadness are temporary but joy can be forever, if you just seek it out. 

The man whose framed self-portrait will always have an honored place in my home.

The man with whom I exchanged parting gifts, little pieces of ourselves that defined each other and how we felt about one another. 

We went our separate ways as our life paths dictated.  We don't talk as much as we could or should.  I'm not on these boards much these days and you steadfastly refuse to frequent FB, as much as for your rock solid loyalty to RP as anything else. But you are in my thoughts and my heart each and every day, no joke.  

Brothers in arms, as I like to think of it.
