A couple more for Buddy. This thing is made from an old dress-form stand, tomato cages, 1/2" aluminum flat stock, various guages of aluminum and copper wire, copper automobile radiator cooling fins, recessed lighting baffles, pieces of an antique candelabra, wire, wire, and more wire, a metal phoenix rising with bubble lights under a Moravian star...
So here's one with reflection and one of reflection. Trying to get more detailed pics up.
The storyline is that it evolved over the course of its 5 yr seasonal installation at this establishment. Santa had left some pretty amazing items added over the course of that time as well as approximately 200 flame bulbs around and through the items underneath and building upward with additional bubble lights at the top. The phoenix is lit more prominently and the Moravian star is still above.

I came to the somewhat difficult decision this year to "retire" the crocheted angel, tree topper, that my mother made. A couple years ago a mouse got into the decoration box in the attic and did unspeakable things to her, and I've never been able to restore her to even a semblance of her former loveliness. So, I went in search of a new angel, with specific qualities in mind. Here is the wee angel I found, just perfect for my petite tree. I think my mother would approve.
Nice one!
When he was tiny, my brother unintentionally trolled my atheist father by demanding an angel on top of the tree. I think my brother still uses the ratty thing.
