But you're not the kinda guy who would need to know any of this kinda information now are you ? You're a law and order guy, right ? Too old to try it and get started now even though it is legal where you live and then what about your rep, eh ?
That, and the Coast Guard doesn't recognize the state laws when you are dealing with them.
Wrong (as usual). I'm a risk vs. reward kinda guy. Draw your own conclusions as to what that means, but I think it's unwise to discuss your illicit activities in an open forum on the internet (where you also rail about others breaking laws of the land).
Ohio’s marijuana possession penalties are some of the most lenient in the country when it comes to personal use amounts. The amounts of marijuana you possess also affects the criminal penalties you could face. As long as you possess 100 grams of marijuana or less, Ohio marijuana possession does not even go on your criminal record. However, this leniency does not carry through to cases of marijuana distribution or for possession of amounts over 100 grams.
You got me.
Yes, Ohio has been one of the most progressive states regarding cannabis. The law was enacted back in 73 or 74, right around when I turned 21. The amount also had to be cleaned of any seeds or stems before weighing. If the defendant was aware of that part and pressed that issue. If the seeds were to be used as evidence, they had to be viable. Meaning they would have to be planted and sprout in order to be determined "viable". And only in one container. Two or more opens the door for trafficking or distribution charges.
Now what we all found out after the good news is that it was the paraphernalia that got you in real trouble. If busted in a vehicle with dirty or used paraphernalia, the vehicle could be impounded immediately and the driver's license was suspended for at least 6 months and then all of the reinstatement fees, the record of a suspension and why, etc. Your vehicle insurance would skyrocket and you would have to get a bond, same as for a DWI conviction, now called OUI.
Smart people would only have a pre rolled doobie(s) in order to avoid that problem. A simple alligator clip would be enough to launch all that into motion.

On the wagon for two more weeks for my annual piss test. Just so I can have a scrip for xanax. Even worse, I have to make sure that I have enough xanax in my system to pass that part of the test, too. The scrip says "as needed" not all the time. fucking idiots. Oh well. At least there is no shortage. Got a gallon of buds sitting and waiting.
How many grams to a gallon?

The prospect of federal legalization in the U.S. could spark a torrent of acquisitions in the cannabis industry. This is just one that has a lot of positive hype to go along with the technicals. There are dozens of pot stocks. Take your pick and do your due diligence and you can make some d'oh. (This is not stock advice. )Just what I've heard from peeples who do this for a living. I've heard it has a lot of volume and may hit 4. The election has given the pot industry a boost. I just buy gas and food with my money. Electric cars and clean energy are good bets, too, btw.
Thanks. I am watching it. (In passing, the big story in the stock market over the past 3 months has been oil exploration and production companies.)
In the meantime, I went ahead and established a small, initial position Fire & Flower Cannabis FAF.to. OTCQX: FFLWF. It is owned by Alimentacion Couche-Tard (own) that runs a growing international empire of roadside convenience stores and fuel stops.
Fire & Flower just announced that it would list on NASDAQ. Already one of the largest cannabis retailers in Canada, FAF also recently announced a strategic agreement with private Canadian company to distribute products in CA, AZ and NV.
This is a very speculative play. For adults with risk management skills. Or for trust funders, oil patch workers and the terminally ill with nothing to lose.
I would not recommend any mary jane stock. Tried that once and and lost my whole investment.
But it is Reddit hot at the moment.
It's like any other stock. Do your diligence, pick your entry and exit points. I rolled a good bit of my at risk fund into mj and solar energy stocks right after the election. It's been a healthy start to the year. I've already hit my sell points on a few of them. I've bought back in on a couple of the energy stocks.
The reddit stuff is baffling to me. There is very little view of fundamentals, just crowd think and momentum. I've thought of trying to make an options model that works on against them, but crazy doesn't fit in a spreadsheet. Just review your stop loss orders frequently and move them as appropriate.
I also subscribe to the theory that once you hear about the next great thing, it is too late to act on it.
Time to place your US cannabis bets in the stock market?
Any favourites to share? Please pump away.
I'd go short on prisons.
LOL!
OK, I'll bite. Names?
It seems that one should have shorted US private prisons before Biden's executive order in late January to limit use of private prisons for the justice system.
