Everybody's laughing? I'm not.  My ears are cringing, though.  If I heard this in concert, I'd be laughing or howling.  Sorry, RH fans, how about some upbeat melody?

Hehe. Radiohead bandmembers' side project and they call it "The Smile"? The immediately recognizable, doomy, jazz-inflected sound and "spasmodic" lyrics of Radiohead and they chose "The Smile"?

Must be thinking of this kind of smile:

Yorke's sense of irony falls as flat as his dreadful singing.

lol "The Smile" is a reference to a Ted Hughes poem with the same name

Well, it works...

Gosh, you've hidden this well.  You hardly make this comment more than ten or twenty times on every Smile/Radiohead song.
Loathing Thom Yorke in all his guises.
100% radiohead
Like getting stuffed into a musty sweater drawer for three hours.
Is this track the aural audio equivalent of Xanax?
Fun fact:  just announced - Colin Greenwood is joining Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds for the North American leg of their tour. Looking forward to it!

It's the opposite of wrinkly.

Even Yorke's "irony" is shallow and weak. Just like his "music".

It's called "trolling"
I know this will sound a bit odd, and obvious, but until this song it never actually occurred to me that "everybody" in its simplest version is "bodies!"

Quite captivating, Captain! Remember when groups used to celebrate -- and be celebrated for -- fearless experimentation and creativity, especially when their virtuosity was beyond obvious? I love that Thom Yorke and Jonny Greenwood are going even broader afield than their work with RadioHead, and I love that RP plays it. Forge on ahead, pioneers of artistic musical expression, and let's keep parting the waves on the ocean of ever-spreading complacency and stagnation!
Great to see another track emerge on RP from this excellent new album! Overall, I'm really liking this album more than the last one.
