Don't you know I'm no good for you?
I've learned to lose you can't afford to
Tore my shirt to stop you bleeding
But nothing ever stops you leaving

Quiet when I'm coming home and I'm on my own
I could lie, say I like it like that, like it like that
I could lie, say I like it like that, like it like that

Don't you know too much already?
I'll only hurt you if you let me
Call me friend, but keep me closer
(Call me back)
And I'll call you when the party's over

Quiet when I'm coming home and I'm on my own
And I could lie, say I like it like that, like it like that
Yeah, I could lie, say I like it like that, like it like that

But nothing is better, sometimes
Once we've both said our goodbyes
Let's just let it go
Let me let you go

Quiet when I'm coming home and I'm on my own
I could lie, say I like it like that, like it like that
I could lie, say I like it like that, like it like that

If this song was released in 1979 rather than 2019, the negative comments on here would change their tune real fast. We get it's hard to recognize classic rock wasn't the end of good music or that the "kids" might be alright even if you're scared they look at their phones too long, dance too much on the Tik Tok or won't get off your perfectly manicured lawns.

That's the problem: people hate everything being different to their bidimensional way of adspecting the world. But, there is a way of growing: join a psychologist, and find out what it is you're fearful of.

Yo fucker, do not call her dogshit..
Some people couldn't recognise raw talent if it bit them on the arse.

Especially when it presents unconventionally.

I remember the same attitudes to Kate Bush when she was young. I thought she was amazing then also. It just takes some a few years to catch up with reality. :-)

Love, love, love Billie and her brother. This belongs on any great radio station. Now let's get some of the Taylor Swift Folkore stuff with Bon Iver like "Exile."
My daughter loves this.  Billie is a great inspiration to her generation and a great role model too
I like Billie, but her brother Finn deserves as many accolades as she gets. Without him she would still be a random YouTuber.
This lovely young gal is just doing her thing and that's all there is to it.
Useless fact of the day: this song has too many silent parts for it to be effective at drowning out smacking and munching sounds from my colleague.

"a random teen off the street could probably write a more enjoyable song".  Show me.  I mean you speak with such authority, this should be easy for you.
this is audio
I sure do get tired quickly of the whiny negative comments I frequently see here. But then someone will post something intelligent and restore my faith in RP listeners  .

Agreed!
This is a great song, haters be damned. It makes me feel things and that's what good songs are supposed to do, right?
Her theme song for 007 was knocking it out of the park, IMHO.  Would be a nice addition to the playlist, too.

I think the real talent in the family is her brother, Finneas O'Connell, who writes and produces his sister's work.

What is the language that she is using for this song? I don't understand why people listen to this. It is a very irritating song. What's a real shame is playing a super talented vocalist like Emmylou Harris and then following it up with this crap.
Don't immediately get all the negative comments, sounds ok to me.

I respectfully disagree that Eilish's voice sounds like a cigarette-ravaged, raspy, 60-year old, BUT, if it did, I would probably like it even more than I already do.

That being said, in my early 20's I dated a young lady whose "whiskey-voice" I found incredibly sexy. . . so I guess this falls into the category of "one man's poison is another man's..."

Every time I hear this, I lower my rank. She is turning out to be an artist I really don't care for that much...

? whatever. I liked the segue from Goodbye, just wish it had Steve Earle in there
I am still waiting for her to really sing.
I had this at a very generous 8, downgrading to 7
I'm trying to like.  But I'm not much liking what I'm trying.  This is a meh for me.   Vital new artistry, I suppose so, but thrilled is among my lesser reactions to the act.
The more I hear this the less I am impressed.

Listening to commercial radio sometimes, I'm starting to think the latter.....
I so love it when RP finds its "groove", and I love how it does this so often.
Other than "When I was Older" this is my fav track of hers. Solid 8 from me.
With most of the comments here, all i have to say is go listen to iHeartRadio if they are more your speed
What depth? What greatness?

It's suicidal mumbling. BLEAH.

Her music may not be for everyone, but don't discount it just because it is popular. I find it refreshingly different, and there is no denying the talent.

Agreed...I pride myself on what an expansive library of music I have, in part due to RP, so I have to stay in the loop!  Was always miffed that Adele (I realize very mainstream and overplayed) was not on here, as she does have great tunes that are NOT overplayed.

One of the things I hate about the Internet is that is it creates the anonymity for people to be shockingly nasty. Why not just say, "Her music doesn't appeal to me"?

If we can't master this as humans we're fucked. Oh wait, we already are.

Musically I won't be humming this one on the drive home, but its lyrical message and delivery is powerful.  Worth listening to

Maybe I have been on Twitter too much these last days, but I think I am hearing  a threaded playlist:

Full Grown Boy -> Winter Is Never -> I Am A Rock -> Karma Police -> When The Party's Over
It's unfair to give your kid three middle names.  Even worse if one of them is Pirate.

I guess such a declaration depends on one's definition of the word "prodigy".  Nice tune though; interesting melody lines - to me anyhow.

If you like this, you may wanna either buy an album (cd) or, go to YouTube, and check out her story & some of her other stuff. Bill just stated that Dave Grohl had some things to say on his Twitter. If Dave has something to say, I'm sure it was nothing less than praise. She's quite the phenom!! Enjoy! ✌️
Really? Playing Billie Eilish? Quality step back for me...
Idk what it is about the stay-at-home pandemic, but she seems to be a fitting artist for this difficult time
It's a 7 for me and ignoring the disturbing  cover.
Good song - but not Album of the Year
 rgio wrote:

Not sure if you've seen her acceptance speeches or interviews, but she constantly  recognizes her brother's work on her songs. Yes she's his muse, just like Daltrey was Townshend's (and relax, I'm not comparing their music, just commenting), but she really does add her own layer to the lyrics.
Don't understand the hype... What's SO special....?
In my youth I would discount her because of her Grammy wins and topping Triple-J radio's hottest 100, but now I'm ok with being one of the masses

Perhaps. I question the use of the word "relevant" when I see it as it just isn't clear what it means in the context of whomever uses it here. What is relevant for one is irrelevant for another. Totally subjective as is every song ever created.
Billie you are turning 18 yo tomorrow .
So many opportunities.

Please choose wisely
I am very impressed with this young lady
I will be forever grateful for being introduced to this incredible artist.  Long live RP!

The beauty of this song has a very strange contrast with the album cover.
I went and found the twitter post Bill was talking about. Great perspective! https://twitter.com/foofighter...
She maybe has a nice voice, I would listen her singing and not whining. Not my style of music so i dont rate this :D
5 plays in 30 days! I am certain I was listening for at least 3 of these instances. I don’t blame Bill; she’s amazing.
Hi guys! Hope all is well with the "family"! (dogs!) I Utubed Ms. Eilish today. I gotta say....don't care much for the "hip-hop" stylings of her stage/dancing but, for a young lady of just 17 (18 now?), this girl has amazing talent! She is already "up there" but, is still young! She keeps on as she is, she is going to be being heard, far wider and, more frequently! Wish she'd puck a "normal" hair color! lol God bless y'all. Peace! Rob
All of her music has been interesting so far and very well produced. She’s got a very promising career ahead of her.

still (despite autotune) there is great and unique new music/artists out there...
its rare - but this is proof - the production of this track includes everything i often despise in actual music - but this breaths authenticy and an personal aura of the artist.

Who started this "relevant" thing anyway? I mentioned in another comment that ever since Kanye What's his name stated that he made McCartney "relevant" again (LOL) he nullified the word. As if Macca needs that twits endorsement! Anyway, no one cares. (Whew! That felt good!)
