Every road has a story to tell
The dreams that have soared, the dreams that fell
Of finding that level that says out of control
Prospecting riches that reside in the soul
(Bridge)
Throw this love down the highway
See where it turns
Life is a shell game
Lessons lost, lessons learned
(Verse)
There will never be a time
The time that is now
To reach for the promise
A melody on the bow
Break up the silence
Make it clear, make it last
Forgiveness given,
Break away from the past
(Bridge)
Throw this love down the highway
See where it turns
Life is a shell game
Lessons lost, lessons learned
(Chorus)
There's a world of wisdom
Inside a fiddle tune
Throw this love down the highway
See where it takes you
(Verse)
Why all the mortar, bricks may crumble
Time moves along
With a dance step stumble
Really no choice
But escape from the past,
Wake up the silence
Make it clear, make it last
(Bridge)
Throw this love down the highway
See where it turns
Life is a shell game
Lessons lost, lessons learned
(Chorus x2)
There's a world of wisdom
Inside a fiddle tune
Throw this love down the highway
See where it takes you
Throw this love down the highway
See where it takes you
Son Volt, Uncle Tupelo, Wilco, Jay Ferrar - All have their moments, honest, sad, hopeful. Just real most of the time. I know some folks can't stand the voices but I love the variety that Radio Paradise plays. Thanks for providing and expanding our musical experience. I am a person who enjoys the emotion that some voices carry and the lyrics and ideas they convey. I identify with that a lot more than whether singing is on key or not. Thanks Bill and Rebecca. People be kind to each to other.
I agree with all that you said.
