My balance was gone, but so is the pain
Was waitin' around, but you never came
So I ran into Tony
He grabbed on my body
I told him I missed you
He told me he loved me
And hey, I liked the way he said my name
That's all he had to say

The damage is done, but so is the wait
And I tried not to run cause it would be a mistake
But it would be a mistake if I just took my time
Cause I'd be waiting around just to pay for your crimes
And hey, I know what it takes to be wrong but it feels all right to me

Even though I know you let me down
I don't know why I can't come around
And even though I know my mind is sound
Couldn't walk away from what I've found

Your honesty's good but too much is bad
And I've been trying to hold on to something I've never had
Cause I've never had you just as I have you now
That you're afraid of losin' but you're not scared enough
Hey wait, you wipe that smile right off of your face
Cause I don't know where it came from

Even if I know I won't be found
I will still be hiding underground
Even if I go outside I find
You've already left me far behind

Even when this song comes crashing down
I don't wanna hear another sound
No I don't wanna hear another sound

Forgive rhlrstn.  He thought he was on the pornhub site.  And . . . guys like him allow us to realize how much further some people still need to evolve to catch up with the enlightened folks who appear much more frequently on these posts.
Norah, get dirty, get edgy!

Both great voices, but I think Norah Jones is more interesting musically (and lyrically) than either of them. Just my preference! I guess I'm just not cool enough to appreciate obscure talents like Adele and Amy Winehouse.

Well, Amy Winehouse is deceased, so I guess she could be considered to be dwelling in shadows or obscurity, but Adele has won several Grammy awards and sold over 150 million albums worldwide - I wouldn't call her "obscure" by any definition.

Yes..I mean it isn't like Adele has ever gotten any Facebook likes or been seen outside her studio apartment.  lmao

There is a lot of discussion concerning Norah Jones appearance. That's how I make my music selections - whether the artist is sexually attractive or not. The Bugles were right, "Video killed the radio star."
She may be Ravi Shankar's daughter, but she grew up in Texas.  This album is incredibly good American music that sounds quite Texas.
Midddling talent? Give me a break! Amy Winehouse is dead and Adele gets a ton of attention, not to mention selling a whole shit load of units!

Always liked her music and always will! A beauty, too, she is.
I love Norah Jones (musically speaking of course), and this song. But when I went on iTunes to download it, it doesn't appear on this album (or anywhere).  Is there a different album for Americans than there is for us Canucks?

Do please share your talent rating algorithm—objective, of course. I'm sure Bill & Rebecca would be quite interested as would the rest of us.

A terrific musician. A very boring and tedious song.
She's very talented. But I'm not fond of the music. Next...!
3rd track I've heard off this album this week. Never realize who I'm listening to until I see that sexy cover.

B) Lighten up for God's sake. You like Nora's early work and are not thrilled with the new disk. We get it. You don't need to rewrite "War & Peace". Crack a brewski and listen to something else.

Err....On_the_Beach & Calypso.........what!?  Heh!
This song had me doin' the 'ol double-take.  It's not something I'm used to, nor expect, from Lady Norah.

She's a fine musician and singer who definitely deserves respect, but take a look at the CD cover.  I think it's safe to say that she's trying to look sexy.  It's working for me.

Perhaps you have, but I detect no lisping in this song.  Maybe you've been listening to too much Barbara Walters.
Okay, I hope Norah's got the obligatory pop tart schtick out of her system now and will get back to what she's really great at. This stuff is boilerplate and the manufactured dangaling celebrities who sing it are a dime a dozen. The world doesn't need another Miley Cyrus, there's already like, I dunno 50 and more being stamped out every year. This act doesn't fit Norah Jones - thank god - and it's boring as hell. Sounds like something a PR agent reptile talked her into.

I like Nora Jones in all of her musical incarnations.  heard her doing a wide spectrum mix of music in one set that just killed me.  she sang songs ranging from dreamy slow smooth jazz through pop all the way to boot scooting country, without bobbling or dropping the vibe.  it was one hell of a set, and worth every penny for the price of admission....

There's no song on the album by that title, at least what I saw on Amazon.com MP3 downloads.  Perhaps it's a lyric in one of the songs?

I have this album, and I want to like it, but I just can't. The singing and musicianship is tops, but It just seems like she's getting a breakup off her chest, and it's not fun to listen to.
Sorry, read a bit further and see that it is an iTunes/Target bonus track - it will be available elsewhere I guess sometime in late October or thereabouts.

Kind of dig it when Norah tries new direction.  And from what I hear she is also a pretty cool chick on a personal level.  Not pretentious or affected by the fame she had.
