Lost again, broken and weary
Unable to find my way
Tail in hand, dizzy and clearly
Unable to just let this go
I am surrendering
To gravity and the unknown
Catch me, heal me
Lift me back up to the sun
I choose to live
I fell again like a baby
Unable to stand on my own
Tail in hand, dizzy and clearly
Unable to just let this go
I am surrendering
To gravity and the unknown
Catch me, heal me
Lift me back up to the sun
I choose to live, I choose to live
I choose to live
Catch me, heal me
Lift me back up to the sun
Help me survive the bottom
Calm these hands before they
Snare another pill and
Drive another nail down
Another needy hole
Please, release me
I am surrendering
To gravity and the unknown
Catch me, heal me
Lift me back up to the sun
I choose to live
I choose to live
Unable to find my way
Tail in hand, dizzy and clearly
Unable to just let this go
I am surrendering
To gravity and the unknown
Catch me, heal me
Lift me back up to the sun
I choose to live
I fell again like a baby
Unable to stand on my own

Unable to just let this go
I am surrendering

Catch me, heal me

Another 7/4-stroke track.
This song is DEEP
Alice in Chains wibe.
This song is powerful. Maynard's vocals are gorgeous.
Keenan is an artist that will stand the test of time. More people will talk about him in 100 years than Justin Bieber.

Sounds like Porcupine Tree. Like it!
Maybe Prison Sex should be the intro!

Maynard is a once in a generation talent.

I thought for a brief moment this was a Steven Wilson/Porcupine Tree compilation. Fooled me!

I don't think the majority of the RP listener base can handle much TOOL, at least not many tracks from 10,000 Days or Lateralus. This is probably as close as they'll get.
Unfortunately true.

In a personal top ten of all time best albums, this fantastic album would be in it.

Wow, as in not sarcastically.

I nearly puked when I saw the first banana slug I ever saw, in the woods behind my house in Seattle.

He is so freaking brilliant. Loved him with Tool and his distinct voice- he has a very special thing going with his voice and their unique sound. Makes me quiver!

There are some "softer" Tool tracks on Lateralus and 10,000 Days that would blend quite well with the standard RP fare. Then again, I also wouldn't mind things getting a little harder from time to time too.
Agreed ... absolutely love RP ... only time I have to walk away is when I need a little excitement in the day/night with something like the brilliance of Tool amongst others.
Rebecca/Bill, please, just a couple of heavier tracks just once in a while ;o)

... And I didn't even know Maynard was in this side project. Immediately thought Porcupine Tree when I heard this, except slightly darker and harder to listen to. Love it. :D
I really like this. I've enjoyed Tool ever since 'Sober' (ah...MTV when it was good) in the early 90's, but never knew there were any side projects. Thanks for the info! That's why I love this station. For years RP and all of its wonderful listeners have been showing me music and insights that, I feel, make me a better, or at least, a more well-rounded, person.

I don't get it. Why is Maynard's side project cool, but not even one Tool song is ever played on RP?

Tool's music tends to be a little harder than standard RP fare. Sure, there are some metal guitar work on this song and much of Maynard's other side projects, but Tool has the hardest edge. RP is a little conservative when it comes to the heavy stuff.
Not a bad thing I suppose, but I wouldn't mind hearing things get a little harder from time to time.

Bill, I'm really enjoying that you're dipping into Maynard's work. Although many people can't hear Tool for anything but noise, they are so much more than that! They are so intelligent and are only progressing in their talents as artists continuing to please our ears. Please take a look at Tool's - Wings for Marie pt.2 off 10000 Days. Written in context to his mother. Such a beautiful song. Also; The Humbling River by Pusifer is amazing as well. Thank you radio paradise :-D

Yes. APC really just makes me want to hear Tool...with a Porcupine Tree chaser. Sounds like a full prog metal meal.

Wow! Maynard on RP. I wonder if Bill will play some old Tool. Great song!

Turned up really loud, this can shake your soul. . .
A brilliant album (ha, i said album). it has mellowing undertone unlike a Tool album where it can get pretty hard at times. The whole thing puts me in a trance but not quite unconscious.

Wow, this is f*ckin' good! Very Porcupine Tree-like, but with its own distinctive and possibly sinister feel. 8 from the Nottingham jury.
Thank you RP for a great set this afternoon. One amazing song after another, some I haven't heard before, and finally this one, which gets a "9" from me on the first listen. The lyric is stirring and deep. Thanks, Bill and Rebecca!
I was thinking this could be incubus...

A perfect circle perhaps... but not a perfect tune... kinda like Depeche Mode but less interesting.
I almost wish that A Perfect Circle didn't get so much radio exposure, so I wouldn't have to share them with the FM zombies...
