weirdly I remember this being my soundtrack to Christmas 1985. Played the album from a tape I bought (probably from Woolies) so release must have been earlier for UK. Never tire of the album. Gawd knows how many copies I've bought. Tape, CD.

I just had to bump this from an 8 to a 10. Something to do with the lockdown zoom calls to old friends from the 70's, Elton's "I've Seen That Movie Too" played earlier and now this.

I'm not sure whether the music has to be perfect, but the memories a good tune can invoke has to be one of the most powerful forces on earth.

It's 8:30 on a cool morning in England.  I'm in bed recovering from an operation and turned on Radio Paradise for the first time in weeks, to be greeted by this fabulous track.  I happened to click on the album cover by mistake and it brought up Coloradjohn's comment from November last year, which greatly amused me and made me feel good, as does the music.  I know some of Talk Talk's music but have never thought to investigate their albums - that is now a priority.  Great arrangement, terrific vocals, a fabulous reminder of the 80s at their best (not forgetting there were some dire moments, too!).  Congratulations to Talk Talk on producing truly excellent music, which willl last and last; and to Radio Paradise for playing it.....and for the Bird York track which followed Talk Talk and which is playing as I write this - totally new to me but another one to explore.  Medical operation or not......like Coloradojohn, I'm feeling good  :- )
