Not nearly as clever as her fans think she is.
What is her particular vocal affectation?  It reminds me of a female version of the Creed "goat" style of singing, punctuated by Heidi-on-the-mountainside quasi-yodeling, but I wish I had a name to put on it.
She would be pretty good - 6
Nobody complaining about the constant electric hum on the background?
I could lay claim to a lot of the things on this list...
I'd rather hear Steven Wilson do a crappy version of this than listen to this.
I don't hate this song nearly as much as she does...

..the huffing & puffing of it sure sounds like her..
Oh, if only you were good.

somewhat pedestrian... without the angst there's little meaning to contribute in its' absence.

I though So Pure was the best track.
the teeth on the front cover already explains the song quality...

Any fly that lands in my Shiraz is a friend to me.

This song is a fly in my Shiraz.
14 years ago? She was a baby. Still sounds good today. imho
Simply amazing, from the hum of the guitar amp in the beginning to the flute solo at the end.  Alanis is an incredible artist, bearing her soul on this song.  She is so much more than what "top forty" grabbed of hers.

I've learned that a lot of artists put out more than one song on what they used to call an album, looking into their other tracks can be quite rewarding as opposed to judging their "drek" based on the one song you've heard on the radio, just saying?

Funny.  Am not a big fan, but hey she is technically solid and people do like her.  A lot.  On both sides of the border.  In a spirit of music plurality, I vote that Alanis stays on RP.

Besides RP often plays artists that I know only a small fraction of RP listeners dig and for that I am grateful.

wow. i love this.
I love this song - have never heard anyone else playing it. It is a beautiful prayer.
This whole album is fantastic, it was severly underrated by those who loved her earlier album, but standing on its own, it is acoustically and musically brilliant. You must have a good sound system to really appreciate it though!

RP needs more Alanis
Simply Beautiful!
awesome tune... and for those you who don't like Alanis - :P
