Really like Eddie Vedder's version in latest series of the Bear. BTW check out the show if you haven't already. Awesome soundtrack to an awesome show.
One of the best pop songs of all time. This brings back so many memories of the 80's for me.
I'm generally not a fan of the sax in my rock songs unless it's Clarence Clemons but I love the sax in this 80's gem. Good times.

Great story / facts.
Saw them at Brixton Academy in ?early ‘86. Kinda scary area for a couple of kids living in Kensington. But we took the tube and walked through Brixton. Fantastic show w Pete, David, Pete’s brother? 50’ from the riser. Loved it!! Pete was so into the show and kinda proud of himself - this is after he took vocal lessons

True story, he was a friend of the family of the woman I was dating at the time. They were good in concert when I saw them in 2010 (for a bunch of old dudes). Also, a three in a row of people I had seen in concert: Pete Yorn, Belly, English Beat...I guess I am right in the middle of the target market for RP.
To me this is one of the best pop songs ever. It never gets old.
