Oh lift the sun
I've been sitting here all night long
Rolling rock, over Buddha with the longhorn
Got a hole, rip a pocket off my uniform
With the black watch boys
Get your heads down
Ooh Oohh Oooh

Duty calls, but it's way too late
I'm too far gone
Waiting for God, oh hell
With my pants down
Crack the stash
Then be quiet in the midday sun
I miss my dog, and I miss my freedom
Ooh ooh oohh oh Ooohh
Ooh ooh oohh

I don't know why they are calling on the radio
They know I'm here just out of sight
I don't know why they are calling on the radio
It's by my side, and I know I'm right
I don't know why they are calling on the radio
They know I'm here just out of sight
I don't know why they are calling on the radio
It's by my side, and I know I'm right

I hate the things I think about you
When I'm all alone
I know you're tough
But I've been gone
For so long
Play the memories of you
Inside my head
So all these pictures of us
Burn and radiate
Watch the clouds, and I'm falling
Falling through the cracks
Head beats
And my heart is pounding fast
Off the ground
Into the starry dark, into your arms
I'm falling...

I pray my body's right
I've got to stay alive
I've gotta take a chance and keep on moving
Keep on moving...

I don't know why they are calling on the radio
They know I'm here just out of sight
I don't know why they are calling on the radio
It's by my side, and I know I'm right
I don't know why they are calling on the radio
They know I'm here just out of sight
I don't know why they are calling on the radio
It's by my side, and I know I'm right

“Calling on my radio”… seems to be channelling Dar Williams (“FM Radio”)?
Loving the waka waka guitar on this one. Fun straight ahead pop rock with an edge.
Garbade, indeed.
Lol.
I just wish none of them were deaf. Song isn't bad, but the audio quality is 1/10 and basically unlistenable
BillG - Garbage has great songs from earlier albums. Hope you buy into playing them
now this is BAD, poor, its like a two dollar sweater from the rummage table - awful

I know very little about country music and I recognized this track as Garbage but you're right: it has a crunchy, bouncy country-pop feel to it. Which is cool!

It's a different riff: vaguely similar notes in a minor scale.
Ouch. We took a hard detour into Katy Perry or some such. My ears might be bleeding.
Please don't THIS SONG ever again.

The alternative rock & electronic band Garbage ended their hiatus in 2007 and began work on their fifth studio album in October 2010, "Not Your Kind of People" was released on May 14, 2012 via the band's own independent label, Stunvolume Records.

This is an example for many artists, to they do not find themselves hostages, and manipulated by the publishers, voracious easy profits, which relegates, and often ignore of artistic quality, and seek to impose on radio stations what should and should not be displayed on airplay (through sponsorship), and thus manipulate and guide the public taste.

The band created in 1993 are: Scottish singer Shirley Manson (vocals, guitar), 45 years old, with an impressive physical appearance and aesthetics, and American musicians Duke Erikson (bass, guitar, keyboards, percussion), Steve Marker (guitar, keyboards) and Butch Vig (drums, percussion), are experienced musicians, with a mean age about of 50 years. All four members are involved in songwriting and production of original songs.

I've always loved Garbage (the album) and Version 2.0, but just can't really get into anything they've done since then. I like the odd track from later albums but feel they're all just lacking something...

Agreed.  I am a huge fan — caught them live at an intimate club right before their first album was out for wide release, one of my all time favorite shows.  All of the members are very talented each in their own right.  Hard to understand why they can't sustain level of past works.
Why does this remind me of Shania Twain?
I like the band, Shirley and the song...but not crazy about the mix either.

Roger that!!
No dynamic range at all. Even worse than their last album. WTF...didn't they learn fom their mistake?
It would of been a nice album if the guy mastering the audio wasn't deaf :(
Good new Garbage !
My thoughts exactly!!  Love it!

Same here ... generally disappointed with their newer stuff. But they really started with a bang ... hard to keep up.
Curbside pickup. Awesome.

My ear caught this and was like, "Is this something new, strange Blondie cut?"
Ok. A surprise to the ears. Very good effort.
Shirley sounds different.

But good.
Awesome, just saw them play this live last night!
