This is so incredibly excellent! Fabulous arrangement. Psychedelic rock with an edgy, shimmering vibe. Lots of sexy catchiness, too...

And you, too, Lazarus, I miss seeing your group dancing around the room like bow-legged gypsy muleskinners.

Great Meme!

This follows Michael Hedges because Hedges tragically died in a car crash, possibly even on highway 101.

Most of Bill's transitions I don't catch, but once in a while, I peek behind the curtain.

Great morning today

This is a new one for me. I found a High Violets CD in a now-defunct Saugus Mass record store years ago and bought it on some sort of whim. Then started hearing the band here. It's amazing that so many "obscure" yet accomplished and creative musicians are out there and still making some sort of impact. Whether their efforts do much more than keep them fed is another thing. Again, many thanks to this station for the opportunity to learn of these bands.

Hmm, I used to live in New England, and I always had a suspicion that Saugus would go defunct one day, but I figured it had at least another five or so years left.

This band won't let you don't! Super cool music!
Well hell to this yeah! Enjoying it very much. Seems there's much to enjoy, as I think this is the same number that started when I walked in the house... about 3 hours ago. I'm posting this comment on the previous tune too, as I have no idea which is which by now.
Has a little bit of an Alpine Stars flavor to it.
Heard High Violets here on RP. Whoa, waaaazat?! Immediately went to Amazon and bought this disc. Just love it through, many fine songs.
I dug the groove and in the context of Nik Cershaw... well played.
I love watching the RP conversation for this track take place over several years. I've never heard it before and I've never heard of the High Violets, but this is perfectly charming pop.

This singer sounds more awake and red-blooded than either of those two to me, but there are some similarities to Timmins.

Yes! during the middle of this track from 8 to 9
8 ↑ 9 this sunny morning.  Superb track.  Thanks RP.
Rock on!
I can definitely recommend this album.

Question, the guitar 'chord' sequence, not the solo, sounds really familiar. Right at the end, last 20secs, i think the same sequence is on keyboards instead of guitar.

Spring?  Your post is from November.  Oh wait, perhaps you're in the southern hemisphere. Anyhow, cool, groovy tune.

Love this song from the group formerly known as the best band whose music I had not bought!
Love the High Violets — I believe this is the first time I've heard this particular track.  I like it — play it more!!  {#Clap}

Groovy atmospheric-ness
Play this one more!  I love it.
THis has kind of an "Ocean Blue" sound to it.
I like it.
{#Headache}
I really enjoyed this band, haven't heard them before on RP.  Now, I am going to check out their other stuff.  Any recommendations??
My "8" in the dark held up pretty well. Might be a bit high, but I'm surprised by the distribution of 1's & 2's. Seems this is better than that.
