This is typical Bill to me, in the best way possible. Take a song you already know and love - play a kind of random version of it - further reaffirming that it’s not only a great song, but in fact another beautiful alternate version of it exists.
Christ almighty ... a gorgeous sunny winter morning in Toronto, ruined by this piece of shite.

Kinda gloomy, but it works for me at this time - fortunately I'm not driving while hearing it though.
I thought that would never ever end.  Holy cow.

2. Making or marked by an extravagant outward show; ostentatious.

Wow! For the longest time I thought this was Lover's Split. I finally realized it's Lover's Spit. Which is kinda gross. Not that it matters, I really dislike this song no matter what it's called.
{#Sleep} Boring!
Gave it an 8 for the beautiful ending.

OMG!!!!

I just got this HORRIBLE picture that I pray I can beat out of my head this afternoon before leaving work, of this 'attractive' spit-ster having a trade with Hilary, her reputed BFF.

OMG!!!

Funny how many negative comments there are about this one. I do understand what they're saying — repetitive, simple, etc... but I have to say I'm a little bit addicted to this one. Just raised if from a 7 to an 8. And sometimes I just have to go play it in iTunes to get a little fix.

I think she took the whole bottle...

Seriously, why is this playing on here?  {#No}

Wow. This almost ended up being my first 1, will stick with 2 for now. First song I've heard on RP for a long time that prompted that reaction.
Did I take an extra valium?
Perhaps more than just a bit pretentious. Who gives a farts-end about somebody elses lover's spit?
plodding
Someone uploaded a sixth grade piano recital?

What an uninteresting droning-on.
So rainy (( watercolours..
I can't tell if this is the Studio , or if it's Saliva version.

wow. Amazing repetitive and booooring.......... Zzzzz.
I think ... I can make it..through this song ... must stay awake.. must stay aw.... zzzzzzz......
Must be the slow-n-borin' set.
I like this song better when you can barely make out the lyrics cos when you can, good lord, they're stupid.

Funny how the piano version changed the singer's gender... Love both of them anyway (although the album version slightly more)
nice!
The lead singer, Emily Haines, is also in Metric and Emily Haines and the Soft Skeleton
Where's my pillow. . . zzzz
Does this ever end?
Great, I was looking for a song to put on the snooze playlist of my alarm clock!
The SongMeanings comments on this are fascinating. No one seems to be able to make "heads or tails" of this one. No pun intended. Okay, maybe just a little intended.
Thanks for the Clintonian memories. Love the drool.
Every single time Bill plays this I am immediately taken back to the boy's bathroom in elementary school. "Hey, let's talk about body functions since none of us know how to have an intelligent conversation!"
"Swallowing words while giving head" WTF
Leslie Fiest... :-)

I believe something is broken, and spit is involved.
What is this?
Sleigh bells?
Let's hear some real piano from "The Killer" (Jerry Lee Lewis) sometime. Something that features his "gospel" sound. I wish I'd learned to play when I was a kid, but passed it up by being a spoiled brat. Now I'm a crusty, ole codger who listens (and looks) with envy at those who play instruments. Young folks, take notice!
A completely tasteless (pun intended) recreation of 5th grade bathroom humour.

Yeah, it's just not the same without a dozen spotty teens and 6 octogenarians milling about.

Take about 50-75% of the symbol noise out of this track, and it'd be a great (slow) song. As it is, I can barely hear the vocals or piano over the metal crashing noises.

Lovely. A great follow up to Death Cab. Worth a look in the future.
Damn I love this song. I first heard it a few weeks back in the ending of some TV show or movie I wasn't really watching... until the song started. Damn, damn damn. Good stuff.

Don't know about Hem - I was thinking she's probably more recognized by her solo efforts- "My Moon My Man", etc. Glad to BSS on RP - as mentioned below they are a bit uneven, but worth exploring - interesting stuff.

Love the original -- it is full of lovely reverb, steam and intensity. This is a decent girly version
