I am waiting, I am waiting (oh yeah, oh yeah)
I am waiting, I am waiting (oh yeah, oh yeah)
Waiting for someone to come out of somewhere
Waiting for someone to come out of somewhere

You can't hold out, you can't hold out
Oh yeah, oh yeah
You can't hold out, you can't hold out
Oh yeah, oh yeah
Waiting for someone to come out of somewhere
Waiting for someone to come out of somewhere

See it come along and
Don't know where it's from
Oh, yes you will find out

Well, it happens all the time
It's censored from our minds
You'll find out

Slow or fast, slow or fast
Oh yeah, oh yeah
End at last, end at last
Oh yeah, oh yeah
Waiting for someone to come out of somewhere
Waiting for someone to come out of somewhere

Stand up coming years
And escalation fears
Oh, yes we will find out

Well, like a withered stone
Fears will pierce your bones
You'll find out

Oh we're waiting, oh we're waiting
Oh yeah, oh yeah
Oh we're waiting, oh we're waiting
Oh yeah, oh yeah
Waiting for someone to come out of somewhere
Waiting for someone to come out of somewhere

Oh we're waiting, oh we're waiting
Oh we're waiting, oh we're waiting...

I AGREE!!!
Listen also the Cover Version of Lindsey Buckingham.
Very Beautiful, too.

Ollabelle does a really good cover of this on their self-titled album from 2004.

He certainly does love him some old Rolling Stones:

What a shocker!  obviously from before they sold their souls to the devil.....
LYNDSEY BUCKINGHAM DOES A REALLY GOOD COVER OF THIS , THERE NO SUCH THING AS A OBSCURE ROLLING STONES SONG
Great tune. Really good. Lindsey Buckingham's version is worth a listen too.

Yes - absolutely!!! Great observation!

I was a little kid when this came out and don't remember much about the earlier Stones.  Just finished reading Pete Townsend's autobiography, which I highly recommend.  In it he talks a lot about the strong blues influence in this period.

Did Pete also talk about babes...?
INCREDIBLE GOOD ALBUM OF THE STONES - THEIR BEST...?

I thought this was one of their best albums .... Carried it with me everywhere during the 60's....

More blues as they started out to be before they saw all the money to be made in Rock...

well now we know why they were always (a distant) second fiddle to the beatles.  just compare their "album filler" to the "album filler" on Revolver.........things that make ya go hmmmm

If you're not too bright.
I don't care much for the sound of The Stones, but this is the perfect single for me.
Not a big fan of the Stones but I do like some of the earlier stuff.  This too.

Brian & Keith obviously were saving their best licks for other songs.  Still, hearing this reminds one of RP's  road spectrum playlist.

You're formulating your negative opinion of the Stones on this unheard/rarely heard track. Are you an idiot?
I didn't even know this was a Stones song when I first heard it done by Lindsey Buckingham. I like the Stones version in a primitive sort of way, but Lindsey's cover kicks A**!
Love Ollabelle's version a bit better. But thumbs up to the Stones for the original.

By itself this might feel dated... in the RP mix it fits nicely... Thanks-AGAIN-!...

That's why we tune in here.  You certainly can't get much deeper than side 2 of Aftermath, which was released in the U.S. three months after I turned...(wait for it)...SEVEN!!!!!!!

Had this in mono.........
Wow...I don't remember this...somewhat haunting.
Good set this morning!
This sounded a bit familiar and not just from listening to RP, so I googled. This song was used in the soundtrack for "Rushmore", one of my fave films...
I think I have had a stroke. The pictures of the guys are all blurry. Nice song though.

Yes....ditto that
Hmmm, kind of a prequel to Waiting on a Friend, which came along about 15 years later.

Same here. Surprising to hear a song I've never heard 45 years after it was released.

Yes, this is a great tune.  One of my favorite Stones' albums.

Nice to hear some more obscure Stones like this.
Zzzzzzz.....   Zzzz.....
I am waiting for more tracks from this LP !
My mom played this album and my sister and I as children would point at each other and sing "Look at that Stupid Gi-irl!! real loud.
Anything that starts out with Paint it Black, gotta be great.
Nice rare and dated Stones tune to hear, thanks.
Great song...  featued in a cool scene in the movie Rushmore.
{#Headache} There is a reason it wasn't played.
Learn something every day. I thought Buckingham's version was the original. This sounds as old as it is, though.
NEVER heard this before.   Amazing.  Not bad either.
Who'd have guessed the guys could rock n roll.
Is this its first ever play? Or was it played back in 2007?

In any case, a pleasant surprise.

Thanks.
For reasons I have yet to understand, 'Aftermath' may be my favorite Stones album of all! Oddly enough, I like it for the songs that were NEVER played on "Top 40 Radio" when it came out and I was 15 or 16 years old... "Flight 505" and "Goin' Home" are two cases in point...
