I guess you didn't know grandpa Bush was in bed with the Nazis too, right here on this side of the Atlantic. Besides, if it walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck...
I don't like the bushes or the English royalty. Nor do I like crap logic. No sane politician or British royal would say anything good about Hitler.
Have you heard of this repetitive song?

I Had No Idea this was an LC song, which proves I am truly clueless. I hope that doesn't entirely discount my opinion of the music. I think it's pretty sharp.
I knew that in the back of my head somewhere. She does a great cover of it. I'll have to go out and get the LC original now. (and what a fracken genius he is.. too bad he can't sing :)

Given the recent controversy regarding one of the heirs to the English throne wearing a Nazi outfit, and given the somewhat older controversy of past heirs to the throne of England actually praising Hitler earnestly and openly, I would think that you should stay on your own side of the Atlantic when making Nazi comparisons.......

tight. never heard of her. but that's why we're here.
Damn -- coulda sworn that was Margo Timmins before I looked, and then came over to comment on how this is the most interesting Cowboy Junkies song I have heard in 15 years. Oh well......
Never heard of Miss Gilmore. I dig this. Vaguely Dar Williamsish.

No doubt Bill would play more pro-bush songs, but Deutchland, Deutchland uber Alles just doesn't have that RP ring to it. Yes, I like this tune more every time, too..........
Hmmmm, an Englishman comparing Bush to Hitler...... usually only wacko angry Frenchmen do that....
Has the right bite to it.
Just a bit Cowboy Junkie-ish... I like it.

Her voice makes me think of Louise Wener from Sleeper, but Thea is in tune. :)
getting to like this better every time I hear it.

I heard an interview with Thea Gilmore on NPR yesterday. Which was the first time I had heard of her, I must admit. I liked the way she is challenging the status quo.

Have you heard of any other lyrics?

Agreed. This is not quite Leonard's caliber, but along much of the same lines. Creepy.
Hadn't heard . . . but now that I have, I like it.
