Let it go, Let it go, Well well, let it go go go
Let your sword of vengeance rest
Oh, do the, do the blind lead the blind?
Well well don't be cruel to be kind
Only then, will your house be blessed

Yeah, offer prayer, offer prayer well well
offer sweet prayer, yeah now,
to your uninvited guest
Oh, won't you, give em the right,
yeah yeah, to be welcome, through the night
only then, will your house be blessed

Yeah, turn your cheek, turn your cheek
well, turn your other cheek
may your mercy manifest
Oh, when the hawk and the dove
flying circles 'round your love,
only then, will your house be blessed

Oh, let it go, let it go, well well, let it go go go
Let your sword of vengeance rest
Oh, do the, do the blind lead the blind?
Yeah yeah don't be cruel to be kind
Only then, will your house, woah, be blessed
Na na na haaa

I think it's "a hawk and a dove", not a "heart", but still...

That sounds more edgy and creative, just like Harry Manx! I think he's a really good poet. His lyrics are not predictable.

I had the great pleasure of seeing him in concert recently

You know, I really appreciate BillG's professionalism.

No matter how many negative comments, he comes on air with that smooth, bass voice and just says his thing.  And I'll bet you he doesn't alter his playlists much based on the negativity.

Long live RP!

he does, actually use the ratings to build the playlists. I'm sure he doesn't read all the comments though. besides, for every negative comment there's likely 1000 people just listening and enjoying it.
great tune
Beautiful!
Wow. Has it really been over 19 years since I was introduced to Harry Manx on RP. Loved this song and his music in general ever since.  It's been said before but....Long Live RP!

Smart man!
My rating down  8 -> 7
I've just been de-cluttering so my house does feel blessed. (Volume ALWAYS up when Harry Manx is playing - thank you RP.)
Jessel crow I like Harry

This song is good for the ears...

I'm glad I know now when my house will be blessed!  I'll be sure not to follow his advice; I don't want my house blessed.
Beck likes it, too I noticed !
Has this really not been played in two years? Or just not commented on? Seems like I hear it every day. Put it back on ice for a while, Bill!

I'M REALLY ENJOYING THIS

It was lovely seeing and hearing this performed live and in a very small venue.

Fantastic lyrics...meaningful and true, but not sappy. I like it. Can anyone tell me what the rest of the cd is like?
Road Ragas is my favorite but anything Harry is heavenly.
Harry Manx just grooves.
Been away from RP for a while. It's songs like this that I hear for the first time that make me realize what I am missing, and why I listen to RP...

Gawd, it's music like this that elevates a nice Saturday to an outstanding Saturday.
Hey, didn't I just see you in a previous post? How wierd! Completely agree, and most excellent tune.

Wow - you can hear his time with Ry Cooder and Taj Mahal. How do people like this get buried? Butting in between Paul Simon and Biob Marley and fitting in equally well.
What an immense sound! The lightest touch can be heard crystal clear, let alone when he's sliding or strumming! Imaginative Folk Blues.
I love Harry Manx! Y'all can get a few mp3's here But buy his cd's, too. Support the man so he'll keep on keepin' on!
Sittin on a creeky rockin' chair on my screened porch in the midst of a warm Memphis evenin' - I just groove out to Harry Manx. Ah... life is good.
I seen Harry Manx this year at the Harvest Jazz and Blues Festival in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada. An unbelievable show. If you are wonderring about picking up one of his albums, do it! If you have the chance to see him, he will blow you away. He played Voodoo Child on a 6 string banjo! He also does some cool stuff with a mohan veena and a tamboura.
This is great...Thanks :sunny.gif:

I am digging this. I thought for a minute it was "Gimmie love, love, love, love, crazy love"...who was that?
Harry Manx actually does a pretty good cover of Crazy Love by Van Morrison. Check out (click here) ... he used to have it available to download for free as an MP3.
great message.

Van Morrison: Crazy Love.
Ah, the song that intro'd me to Radio Paradise. Some good associations here. I first heard this song on a late night radio jazz program. I wasn't swift enough to write down the artist's name or the song title, but I did remember the line "only then will your house be blessed." I googled repeatedly for it over the next couple of months, then finally, RP must have added to it's playlist.

Other posters say they hear Van Morrison or Kevin Welch, among others. I thought for sure it was Kelly Joe Phelps. A v. good song.

I bought it on a holiday in the west of Canada. I played it all the time in the car and loved it, as did my wife. That was one and a half year ago. We still love to play it. It's great music. Highly recommended...
I like this. (pimp)
wrong comment to wrong song...

This guy ALWAYS reminds me of Kevin Welch!

Like the folksy feel.
