Sound likes Chris Isaak "Wiked Games" but pretty cool song anyway !!
Love the vibe !
I keep hearing it too. And agreed. Good song.
Love the vibe !
Huh? No.
Little bit of that, better! Yep.
It’s…Coldplay!
Huh? No.
I like it, 7
And today it's a 9...
Nice to know that these guys are definitely NOT a one-hit wonder.

Starting at a 7 for this one, and I'm sure it'll only go up with time.
The Boxer Rebellion is one of those bands you gotta give 8s and unders to... now. As the more you listen the more you will want to bump 'em up to 9s, and even maybe a 10 here or there, too.
I find that this is the case with most songs on here. I always bump them up on subsequent listens. Almost never will a song get bumped down.

So did I… saw TBR 3 three times in Hamburg (GER) so far and we all loved it sooooo much… thx again RP!!!

Too many syllables in their name!
Interesting that you said texture. I was thinking/trying to decode how this set seemed put together and thinking what was the warp, what was the weft. As I finish typing this I hear the next song coming around the bend and the weave stays smooth
What's wrong with this band? Uh, at least one of the listeners on this station.
I don't know - I'm still going with "quite likeable".
Isn't that great
So let me into the secret please .....only for the next time though as I am currently listening to Sophia - People Are Like Seasons and not in need of SD
I'm afraid I don't know the secret, and I'm sorely lacking in Google-fu. You may consider re-installing chrome. Or get firefox or opera to see if the PSD button works there.
Maybe not on YOUR chrome, but I've got access to it.

Going into withdrawal!
Cannot connect to RP,
Seattle, comcast,

Washington State —- Getting nothing here. Tried eight different approaches, still nothing ..
Talk about withdrawals, I'm Jones-ing for my Radio Paradise. . . looks like tech problems..
for me, The Boxer Rebellion has been playing for 300 minutes so the multicast is working but the unicast from the studio has fallen over.
Ah, but the Boxer Rebellion lasted about 3 years. They're just getting started.

Bravo!
Pink Floyd - Comfortably Numb (begins "is here anybody in there")
Regina Spector - November Rain (as the DJ is asleep)
Eagles - The Last Resort (Call somewhere Paradise, kiss it goodbye)
Simon & Garfunkel - sound of silence (being as "Bridge Over Troubled Water" was 2 songs ago this could conflict with RP policy)
Bjork - Its oh so quiet
David Gilmour - Murder (are you OK Bill?)
any more?
it's getting spooky in the silent netherlands
Studio Webcam
did we just play November Rain or something?
Surely that bad (good?) pun works better with a song somehow related to the green fuzzy stuff that grows on rocks/trees/etc? :p
So it's not just me, then....

Give it up for a kick-ass track.
Same for me. I now fly to different countries to see bands (Great Big Sea, Young Dubliners) as well as get on every email list for many bands. August has me scheduled for 8 bands (7 I have heard on RP) in SoCal.
Just found out Porcupine Tree is OPENING for a concert in San Diego next month. Opening?!?!?!
Sounds like a huge privilege... I'm from the Netherlands, the only thing i'd really wish to go to would be the Austin City Limits festival... A cousin of my was there and had a blast there... Of course i'd like to see more but if i had to choose, i'd choose to attend the ACL festival...
Very Kent like!
Me, too. And I've now bumped it from 7 > 8. Great groove.

the British Opium dealers (and all things western!),
for that reason alone I am not allowed to like a band
with such a name!

Perfect equation, and the result sounds good truly
I like how they have evoked no less than 10 different and diverse artists (not including the clearly tongue in cheek comparisons).
That's not derivative, that's evolutionary. Unless you wanna make the case that all music is derivative of the first protohumans bangin on rocks and blowing on reeds while howling at the moon or the sun, in which case, rave on!

Same here.

Love it.
add Dead Can Dance
Except for the original stuff it is derivative of!

I have to agree, though; 'derivative' is overused as a descriptor.
Original stuff? All musical endeavors (as all art forms) are derivative of whatever came before them. It's part of the language of Culture. Of course, the degree of originality may vary, but nothing on this planet is 100% new and original.
I hate this comment in regard to any music. ALL music is derivative!

You don't think Beethoven and Mozart—both contemporaries of the next composer—were influenced by Handel?
Just in these past twenty years, a lot of rock owes a huge debt to the intriguing sounds created by The Edge and his battery of gizmos and effects.

One more day.
