Got to see Jerry Douglas last year in a small venue and was blown away. Good stuff!
Holy Crap! This is good.
I always think I hear Stairway to Heaven in there every once in a while. Am I nutty?
so pretty

The bandname sounds like a bunch of lawyers, but if this was true, those lawyers would do a nice 'second' job.

Judging by the album cover they all moonlight as Jerry Seinfeld impersonators.
It just occurred to me that this song tells a story through sound, it doesn't need words at all, truly remarkable.
cello gets me every time. or is that something else?
What is this wonder?
One of my favorite albums of all time!

I don't set things to a 10 lightly. But this deserves it. Truly godlike.

The whole album is outstanding. Highly Recommended.
Hello, très belle harmonie de cordes. Une jolie découverte qui me fait penser aux accents de Mark knofler par moments. Merci !!

I'm stingy with 10 ratings as well.

Can't get to a 10 on this one, yet.
But I am going +1 to a 9 rating.

Sounds pretty good with the inexpensive headphones provided in the office.

Grados, baby, Grados!

Only if you use EQ to boost low end below 100hz and tame the crazy high end peaks!  I  just bought a pair of Grado  SR80 X had have both the on ear S  pads and over ear G cups. Both Sound different & I have used EQ to make both of them sound great!
Telluride Sessions.... wonderful

Hot damn. That is all.
Ladies and Gentlemen, to your left, you can read up about Gerry Douglas. My gast is flabbered. He has played on 1,000 albums!
Jerry Douglas and Band are playing tomorrow (24 September 2022) in Doylestown PA!  Go say hi

SUPERB!!! I never heard of them before. Thank You RP!
You're missing out. Mr. Douglas might be the best steel player EVER. Them other dudes ain't bad neither.

Anything Jerry Douglas plays just makes me smile!
What I like  about this is that these guys really know how to play but they resist showing off.  Nicely understated.
Quite nice
This song pierces my soul
As though it were written just for me
Thank you
Bumped up from 9 to 10.   AMAZING!
Went to see Jerry Douglas with Tommy Emmanuel a few weeks ago.  Tremendous is not a word I use lightly but they were.  This album is one of my all time favourites

Damn right!  I just went +2 to 9 as I'm breaking in a new 2.1 desktop stereo setup, this is the type of recording that drives audiophiles to get the 1% better equipment for 200% more money.

Long Live RP and well recorded & great sounding music played through affordable hi-fi gear!!

It does - have my BOSE headphones on, here at work, and am in a dream state.

hot damn that's some hella good string playing in there
rarely matched in almost every way.  just terrific.

A great album that is best on a quality hi-do system.

Decent headphones allow you to appreciate the bass solo in particular
Was in Izmir last year, for some reason this song is so evocative of that city. really got me into Bluegrass....incredible skill, just love it.
Am I dreaming, or is Edgar Meyer really hitting an E two octaves above a guitars high E string ... ON A BASS!
Gives me Goose Bumps every time.
so. Damn. Good.
Love this. Sooo Goood.
Douglas has quite a resume.

That base solo!!!!!!!

I saw Edgar Meyer play about the time this album came out. I don't remember if he was solo or with someone else. It wasn't this trio. It was amazing what he could do with a string bass. He is truly a virtuoso.

Well this is pretty good 'on a patio in Mexico on a Sunday afternoon' music. Which is where I am. So that worked out nicely.
Reminds me of Gaye Delorme. I like it.
That base solo!!!!!!!
I really enjoy these longer compositions, setting an atmosphere, letting every instrument shine, makes me drift and reflect, makes me feel more grateful for all the things and experiences I have and had.

I believe that's a bass, not a cello....

Beautiful hi fi test track, serious low bass.

And they represent Dunder Mifflin Paper Co.
The album title reminds me of my old Dansette record player...

Indeed it does on my AudioTechnicas
Started off with a 7 but then it just didn't want to end, so dropped it down to a 6. As reasonably good as it is, I think it wore out its welcome.

Love the bass solo.

After hearing this track on RP I tracked down the whole album. It's marvellous and all the folks in this trio are fantastic musicians. There's not a weak track at all and each player gets ample opportunity to shine. Really great stuff. Thanks RP.
Love the bass solo.

This purchase truly stands up.
In a rolling auto not so well, but with headphones or good stereo and speakers for sure.

Based on the alarming frequency in which you antagonize other listeners, you were clearly bullied as a child.
You can get help for that but I'm sure it will be expensive.

Funny!!  And considering the album name (Skip, Hop & Wobble) - work as ambulance chasing lawyers doesn't seem so far fetched!   Long Live RP!!

You surely have strong feelings about music, but I feel a bit too dismissive. Making it stop is remarkably easy with access to a computer. Wait: there's your solution!
