There's a tattoo heart
With an arrow through the middle
Of a name that looks like Joe
And a young girl's looking
At her makeup in the mirror
Puts a little gold ring on her toe

I gotta say one, two, three more things before I go on

There's a sharp dressed man
Playing something on a fiddle
In the backyard right next door
And everybody's mother
Is cooking something in the kitchen
Got dishes stacked ceiling to floor

I gotta say one, two, three more things before I go on

You can't run and try to hide away
Here it comes, here comes another day

A red rooster crows
A little Mexican tune
On the chain link fence by the gate
Somebody's daddy's out there
Honkin' on the horn
Hurry up, we're gonna make him late

I gotta say one, two, three more things before I go on

You can't run and try to hide away
Here it comes, here comes another day
If you're long down that highway
No matter where you are
You're never really far
Good morning Aztlán

There's a big fat heart
With an arrow through the middle
Of this place that I call home
And when I get lost
And don't even got a nickel
There's a piece of dirt I call my own

I gotta say one, two, three more things before I go on

You can't run and try to hide away
Here it comes, here comes another day
You can't run to try to hide away
Here it comes, here comes another day
Where you are, never really far away
Good morning Aztlán

Ha.Ha. Very. Funny.

Aztlán (from Nahuatl languages: Astlan, Nahuatl pronunciation: [ˈast͡ɬãːn̥] (listen)) is the ancestral home of the Aztec peoples. Astekah is the Nahuatl word for "people from Aztlan". Aztlan is mentioned in several ethnohistorical sources dating from the colonial period, and while they each cite varying lists of the different tribal groups who participated in the migration from Aztlan to central Mexico, the Mexica who went on to found Mexico-Tenochtitlan are mentioned in all of the accounts.

My favorite morning song.  Love when it pops up when I wake.  I'm not one to lay in bed when sleep ends but this song gets me up on my feet (and dancing  around) as fast as a Code 3 EMT call.

Awesome example of Los Lobos' 3 guitars going at once.  Love this song!
The last 16 song didn't make it over 6-7. I'll get over it!
Solid 10
These guys are Hotter than a Ghost Pepper Burrito!

**EDIT** yup...today is the day I go 8→9 on this splendid Los Lobos tune.  My bump might have something to do with seeing Al, one of the old (a relative term for sure) guys that works where I work who wears ONLY band t-shirts walking by a bit ago with a Los Lobos shirt.  Serendipity or simple coincidence?  Long Live RP!!

You mean Weird-Al?
Rock it.  Rock it, hard!
Keepin’ me rockin’ on a Wednesday morning, Bill!
Makes me feel like a Burrito & a Tequila Sunrise!
Particularly interesting given today's Populist movement.

Now you’re cooking with gas!! This gets me moving; even if I’m dead!
that guitar tone is wonderful - fat warm elastic fuzz and grit
Can't Stop Dancing!!!
I have listened to RP for abut 10 years.  Used to be, sometime I feel Bill and Rebecca get in a 'grove', but after trying Pandora, Slacker and Spotify to back-fill, you guys are the BEST.
Thank you for what you do.  Glad we can support your efforts.  Wish everyone did...
Another great band that puts on a terrific show!  Great mix tonight RP - thank you!

They do tour.  I saw them in 2016, they toured in 2017, guess what, they're on tour right now.  You just seem better at complaining and making the same dumb posts over and over about Foo Fighters and Arcade Fire than you do about actually getting out and seeing live music.

This wasn't in their line-up when they were here but we (the audience) "coaxed" them into doing it as encore! :-)

Got to see and hear LL at a concert last Saturday—they were great! It's encouraging to experience a band celebrating their 40th year together that sounds as good now as in the day. They are amazing! Their "new" drummer is insanely great!

Brilliant for office dancing
This is a great song for a workout mix!  You should see me boogie while I'm walking and I don't care who sees!
Always nice to hear something from my L.A. homeboys.

Greatest American band ,  EVER ?
Great song, amazing band, definitely need to see them live to get the full Los Lobos experience. {#Guitarist}
Intelligent rock and roll!  There are multiple layers to their sound.  This band has been around a long time and they are still awesome!

40 hours a week on RP — at, what, 12-15 songs an hour — and this is the ONLY song you dislike? Damn, quite baffling how you can be so indulgent or judicious on ~400 pieces of music (accounting for repeats) and it's just this one that elicts a 'yuck.' This is hyperbolic, or you have an unusually high tolerance for middle-of-the-roadness or good-but-not-exceptional that the fine rip rockin' Good Morning Aztlan cannot escape.
This reminds me of a song on the Beverly Hills Cop soundtrack. Can't think which one... it was such a long time ago...
Still, after all these years, just about my favorite band. They can play anything.
I listen to RP approx 8 hours a day 5 days a week and this is the only song I actively dislike. Yuck.

Was ready to call it a night and crash.  Now I feel like dancing.  Damn you, RP.
Hell yeah!!!{#Dancingbanana}
I think RP's Friday afternoon groove is taking off.
Very rockin !
I love LL but I think it's time to honor Frank Z now on his birthday
I like this cut - and Los Lobos - better with every new hearing.  It does rock waay good.
Saw these guys live a few years ago. They kicked serious ass!
Freakin Rockn!!!!
Gotta get me this CD.  Major rock.

There's so much to love about this rocker. My fave may be that gunshot snare drum throughout. Song just energizes me.
