Hearing strains of mid 70's Steve Miller Band.  Not a bad thing, sort of light and doesn't require a lot of thought.

Well, lesson learned for the day - MUSIC is one of my great healers....the lyrics here (literally and figuratively) fit my current situation.  In addition, I heard an interview on our local listener supported radio station.  Dallas Green....https://www.npr.org/templates/rundowns/rundown.php?prgId=39&agg=1

Really. Seems like there's a little "piling on" happening here. Got a good beat; you can dance to it. And the words make you think: "What the heck is he singing about?". C'mon. It's not one of my "top 10 for the desert island" picks, but it fills out a set nicely. Geesh.

Not much to add to the post that stated \"no redeeming features\". If I want to hear Dire Straits, I will listen to Dire Straits. But, if trite lyrics and hardly an inventive melodic turn is my mood (never), I will pick this up.

That's pretty harsh, man. Come on, is it really that bad? He's got that Dire Straits guitar thing going, and the vocals are executed well. It's not a "10" in my book, but I think it's a decent song to have in the mix. :)

Cheeseball 70's? A little. My first impression was the 70's until I heard the artists names in the song and realized it couldn't be. Remind of Knopfler? Not the voice but the guitar certainly has the flavor. Ok to listen to.
