Well, the majority of Americans didn't want him as President, either. Or Bush. But the will of the majority in America doesn't always play out.
(Republican voters are a minority, doing what they can to maintain a toehold.)

I smell a debate question!

Trump already said he'd pardon most of them, providing yet another reason he is becoming less electable.  The majority of Americans think Trump is guilty of something and should be charged for Jan 6...telling them you're going to let everyone go just inflicts unnecessary damage on your campaign.

Provocations with a bit of rules-based irony:
Freedom of navigation (FON) is a principle of law of the sea that ships flying the flag of any sovereign state shall not suffer interference from other states, apart from the exceptions provided for in international law.<1> In the realm of international law, it has been defined as “freedom of movement for vessels, freedom to enter ports and to make use of plant and docks, to load and unload goods and to transport goods and passengers".<2> This right is now also codified as Article 87(1)a of the 1982 United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea. Not all UN member states have ratified the convention; notably, the United States has not signed nor ratified the convention.<3> However, the § United States enforces the practice
