Can I keep my sorrows all brightly strung
Round this room like curtains hung?
Can I give to you my sideways smile?
Will you let me take my time
Even if I take a while?
Will you let me be?
Tell me, can you
Can you stand what's standing in front of you?
Do you love what you see?
Tell me, can you
Can you live with what I've been
Living through?

All my old ways start anew
On this Sunday walking with you
On both feet here I stand
With my heart in the palm of my hand

All my old ways start anew
On this Sunday walking with you
On both feet here I stand
With my heart in the palm of my hand

Can I keep my burdens
Like I keep my house?
Neatly stacked but all around
Can I give to you my hardest truths?
Can I come and then go in the ways that I do?
Will you let me be?
Tell me can you
Can you stand what's standing in front of you?
Do you love what you see?
Tell me, can you
Can you live with what I've been
Living through?

All my old ways start anew
On this Sunday walking with you
On both feet here I stand
With my heart in the palm of my hand

Wow, beautiful voice within a fun jazzy bluesy framework. Funny, for some reason it reminds me of Penguin Cafe Orchestra. Thanks for the treat Rebecca and Bill.

Interesting take! I think of Dave Brubeck or Vince Guaraldi meets Norah Jones...

Agree.   Really like this.
NICE!   Thanx RP!
Starting this at a 7
sort of reminds me of Nora Roberts - had to stop what I was doing to come here and check it out, make sure it has been rated!  All good!
Beautiful..

Elevated from a 7 to a 9 when the piano came into the chorus. 😙

I was thinking Jill Barber. And I love Jill Barber's singing
almost as boring as norah jones. . . .
I really like this.
Sweet happy-time stuff! Thank you RP!
This one is growing on me.  But it's the piano that has me hooked.  The vocal track is great, but secondary.  Even the recording levels seem to elevate Woody Goss's piano.  Very stimulating.
Album noted for further investigation. RP is so great.

Another new RP song.  I'm really liking the infusion of fresh material the last couple months.  I like this song so far.

This makes me want to go find my wife of 27 years and give her a big hug... brb
De-fking-lightful.
The album is my current record of the week. Simply stunning!
actually thought this was Nora Roberts!  Beautiful voice and piano, just like Nora.  Thank you William!
Nice.
Life is Good.
Very nice.

Did Wes Anderson shoot the album cover?
Wow hope to hear more of may on RP
Another wonderful group I have been gifted by the remarkable Rebecca and Bill. Thank you. Again.
Michigan would like to keep her. Thank you.
First time listening to her. Wow. Happy that RP is here to discover so much for us listeners.

That's who I thought it was too.

But wow, that album cover. Can't look away...

Nice piano polyrhythms.
When I looked to see who this was I discovered it was May Erlewine. I've enjoyed other songs from her so perhaps it's time to invest in the album. It's worth the price just for the album art!
I like this a lot. That album cover is quite the throwback though...
