Very sorry to hear of your loss.  That's just too young.

Your reminder is sage advice.  My sister lost her husband last week.   He was 72 and living on borrowed time for 2 decades, but the end came much more swiftly than anyone would have expected.  He went from living normally at home to being incoherent and immobile over the course of a morning.  You never know.

Interesting.  Personally I have already made peace with death and do not fear it based on my experiences going through my transplant.  It is more how the end happens.  Miserable suffering is not an option.

This book may come in handy for the days ahead.  Just put one in my cart.

i think you will glean a few nuggets from it

I don't know how you feel about it, but since when is death a "she"? And will it persist to be female? Due to some inexorable policy of marketing?
What is the intention behind this secret sex-change of death?

Memento Mori (think of death as part of life) is age-old wisdom. Surely, quite many are bereft of it as a thought in daily life, as far from nature as we can be. And then again, we're part of it.
