I was never aware of this little utility until now, and I didn't know I had it!

Yeah, I often pick a color from the image because I usually have the image open in whichever graphics program I'm using to resize and fine-tune it. There's an "eyedropper" tool that will give you the hex value when you click it on a certain spot. Sometimes I use a site to find a hex value.

I don't use the Flickr embed code.  I right-click the image and "Copy Image Address", then paste that into the RP post.  After that I click the HTML editor button at the upper-left and enter the style commands between the "img" tag and the "src" tag.  I copy the style command from the HTML of another post with a border, and then paste and edit it in a text/notepad app.  I usually copy the hex values from some graphics software program.  It may seem like a lot of steps but I've gotten used to doing it that way

Oh that's right; I had tried to embed Hobbitt's code on my site and I swear it worked but now it doesn't. I'll troubleshoot later maybe.

Yeah I didn't really come prepared, I was mostly taking crowd shots before the Fireworks show and didn't bring a tripod.  So I didn't expect much, but the image stabilization on my Olympus really worked well!  Manual shutter, aperture, ISO, and focus.

Just testing something.

If you take the flickr embed code, all you need to add (for my formatting) is

target="_blank"

after the initial a and the formatting info after the img. In my case it is:

style="border: 50px solid #F5F5F5; padding: 4px; background-color: #000000;"

and delete the final script info.

Nope. How did you grab the code? I have webspace where I can upload it and try to repair it.

History: Hobbitt created a little javascript that allows us to put a frame around our photos and generally just make things look nice. Because I use it from time to time and some of us use it every day, I thought I should snag the code and save it somewhere else. So here it is. Feel free to also go to druidlabs.com/flickrcode.html and re-host on your own site somewhere. It doesn't have to look good, just throw the code in a page and walk away. I'll keep tweaking the page to figure out how to do the new Wordpress and since it's wordpress you probably shouldn't try to lift it from my page because I'm sure it gets messed up.
Also, let me know if I broke something.

Now I'm trying it on a different computer but it doesn't work. Anyone else tried it?
