I've gotten it 71 times but all but maybe 5 of those I went into the hints to see how many words I was away, and all but maybe 10 or12 of them I looked further down the hints to see how many L-words there were, for example. I never look at the hints before I get to Genius but after that I need to peel myself away.
I found myself looking and looking until I found the pangram and then playing that word first. Turns out there's a badge for that too.
I never look at hints. Can't be bothered. But I do all I can to get the pangram first. First thing in the morning, if I can't see it I wait until after work. Then if I still can't see it I go ahead and play it.
ð Ok. Thanks. I had no idea what the Queen Bee badge was about. I never got Queen Bee because I rarely play much after I get Genius. But it would be nice to know how close I am. It would be nice to know how far I am from that damn Queen Bee!

If you find all of the words the game recognizes, you get Queen Bee. It takes about 1/3 more points than Genius, maybe 40%? That's when you know you're getting close.
They sell swag:
but yeah since I get QB maybe once a month, the Points After Genius would be interesting. Especially if it tells you how close, on average, you get to Queen Bee.

In football, they have what is called YAC, Yards After Catch. How many more yards did you get after you caught the ball. In the Spelling Bee game they should have a badge for PAG, Points After Genius. How many more points did you get after you reached the Genius level.
I did contact them about this. Hopefully they'll add this badge.

A vaguely medical term.
Community comments are running high about young Mr. Ezersky's refusal to include the gannet. It's come up before; I have never heard of him going back and adding perfectly cromulent words to the options. People who own boats are up in arms about vang not being accepted.
mine was the very last word. i didn't know it was an actual word.
had to look it up. i thought it was a word said with a lisp. or old english - something or other that thou wouldth thay.
Yeah, I think I guessed that last - also the last word on the list alphabetically, oddly enough.
Pretty easy one today - had one 'made-up' word which worked.
