You must be disappointed that no buildings were burned, stores looted and police attacked in the aftermath.
Edit :
Myself, I knew who he was for many years, it was only in the past couple of months did I see videos of him in action, debating anyone on their terms. The wife has been following him for awhile and I could not help but notice and watch over her shoulder (literally) after awhile. He was a true debater, took all comers. He would let them go first and speak their piece and then answer back and begin a peaceful discussion. A true exchanging of ideas.
I know that no one here wants to hear anything remotely positive about him. Sooner or later someone would confront me anyway about him, so here is my take. So I'll leave my impression of what I saw and be done with it. Besides being a great listener, he was calm and passionate at the same time, well informed and at worse, the debates ended with an agreement to disagree. Mostly, he had his questioners beginning to nod as he offered his answers to their questions, mostly because he took them seriously and actually listened to them. He was not there to confront anyone. He was there to be confronted and listen and reply directly to his questioners concerns.
He was truly fearless and walked his talk. All the way to the end. I have no doubt he knew what happened would happen sooner or later, but never stopped making himself available, willing to walk into the lions den and listen and answer anyone who wanted to talk to him.
Oh well. Sorry to bother everyone with these thoughts. They were based upon listening to him at length hearing complete thoughts from all the parties participating. It was refreshing actually, to see the respectful back and forth. Unlike as in most places these days.

I 'm not into mob violence. Most of the time it defeats any reasonable argument that protesters have.
You're certainly entitled to your two cents. I've seen clips in which Kirk was rude and dismissive to people. I was reminded of Mort Downey, Jr. on 80's TV; he'd bring out someone holding opposing views, let them talk for a bit and then start yelling at them. Oftentimes a security guard or off-duty cop would strong-arm the guest off the stage and the crowd loved it.
Kirk wasn't that bad but AFAICT he was verbally aggressive and deliberately provocative in his opinions. The clips I saw weren't really about debate. I don't think anyone could claim that he was a modern day William F. Buckley, Jr. or Charlie Rose. A thumbnail list of some of his more sensational opinions struck me as obnoxious.
Ezra Klein and Ross Douthat of the NYT praised him for energizing young voters and reaching out to them. Apparently he was very good at that. From what I've read (briefly) about his opinions, they weren't offering constructive policy ideas. They were more about stirring people up and making them more angry at others. I'm also very deeply skeptical of Kirk's and Douthat's opinions that many of our social ills are due to lack of religious faith/churchgoing and the supposedly corrosive effects of women's rights on the nuclear family.
Strangely, I missed your prediction/summoning of civil-war slaughter when the Democrats in MN were killed.
I never read much about Charlie Kirk or his views. His more extreme/outrageous statements suggest to me that he was an agitator without any serious proposals for governance.
No, he should not have been shot. But I don't think his statements contributed much to American politics. He seemed mostly focused on sensational statements and whipping up anger.

All's you got is name calling. No substance, just name calling. You truly are what you call everyone who you disagree with ... a sock puppet. Period, end of story. Edit : liar, sock puppets have no feelings.
no, just like the rest of us, he's tired of your disingenuous bullshit. Also, you've mis-used "sock puppet", and "period, end of story".
You have a double standard cuz you missed this one over in the Breaking News thread, or you were drunk and missed it, or both.
Or you're simply an asshole. Oh, and you forgot to capitalize your N in no.
