If RP is in the phones  battery optimized app list remove it then reboot the phone.
It's the main cause of quirky behavior.

On mine I just get 'unfortunately RP has stopped'; same after reboot. Seems to be OK on Android 7 on my phone.

Not so happy with all the missing metadata information that used to be shown if you tap on the playing song.
There used to be (next to album art):

All with nice headings.
Plus (under the album art)

In the new layout I got what seems to be a mini animation and the following text next to the album art:

• The Only Thing Worth Fighting For
• Lera Lynn
• Curly Tonic & Franz S. Bootleg

Which must be Title, Artist and Album.

Especially missing the Release year, and Average rating.

I have been noticing the Android app seems to hang the first time you press play. I have to wait for Android to prompt me to Close App, then after it reopens it will work fine. Has anyone else experienced this?

Hello, I know you all work hard and do the best you can on a very limited budget, but I thought you should know that I'm uninstalling the RP app because it's so damn quirky. Once you click "Start Listening" I can't find a way to get back to the "Welcome" page of the app without closing and restarting it. Furthermore the app covers up the icons at the top and bottom of my (Android 11) phone's screen and I can find no options to disable this feature.

I would just add a chrome weblink to RP's website player to the homescreen of my phone, but unlike most other radio player websites there's no "Add to Homescreen" option on the Chrome menu on RP's website player. The only option is to install the RP app.

There's a good chance I'm doing something wrong on these issues, but I can't figure them out, and if I can't I assume others can't and the website player/app manifests as user-unfriendly. Posting this to this forum because I can find no other way to contact you all and this topic seems like an appropriate place. Best of luck to you in the future.

Now that I think about you all (Rebecca and Bill) probably don't read these forums and probably won't see this, but I figured what the hell. Perhaps I'll try contacting tech support (hah!).

iphone 13 pro max - IOS 15.3.1
tried safari, chrome, firefox, cake, brave,  ms edge, etc.
this isn't life of death but any help would be greatly appreciated

There may be a setting for this, but how do I prevent the mobile app from launching every time it senses a Bluetooth connection?  I actually do other things with my phone!
