This was the first home I ever owned when I was 23 in Scottsdale AZ. Paid $33k for it...It didn't have the deserted landscraping then. Had bare concrete floors.Just a nasty little raunch style house. But the payments were only about $250 and that was cheaper than rent then.

Around here we call it "California Gold".

It washes out into the streets when it rains hard. {#Mrgreen}

Nope. The one on the left is a sage of some sort. The other two are oleanders. They're like cockroaches.

I haven't watered the front yard since I moved in almost 13 years ago. The plan was to fix it up, but that hasn't materialized.

Soon.

It's funny. When I was building it, the "guy" neighbors came by and all said "I hate you". {#Lol}

I would have been one of them.

No Google street views in Petersburg VA yet... Guess that area is still so bad they are afraid to take their Google van there.

This was my house of 14 years in downtown Phoenix. Guess the current owners don't want it visible from the street with all the plantings. Hard to believe it sold  for over $500k recently. Thought I was doing good getting $169k back in '94...
