He did the voice talent throughout all of the episodes.

Not all of it, of course, just a lot of reading of the writings of the main characters.

I know—I saw his name in the credits, but when jagdriver mentioned Episode 4, I just wondered WHO in that episode he was.
I love Tom Hanks!

That Peter Coyote certainly has gotten around!

  the San Francisco Mime Troupe, a radical political street theater which had recently been arrested for performing in the City's parks without permits.

Radical Mimes? {#Lol}

Ah Ha! It just wasn't me!

His mellow voice, often compared to Henry Fonda's, is a gift that won him an Emmy in 1992

I didn't realize how much Peter Coyote sounds like Henry Fonda.
Also good to hear Tom Bodett's voice.

Great show with interesting history!

I had never heard that one before.  We were watching it and got the strong feeling from the narration that they were not coming out of it.  Seems that given the number of times they were thrown out of the boat upstream, that this last time, both of them were thrown out and could not get back to the boat.

Cool boat, though perhaps not the best for running the Colorado.
