The full episode isn't posted yet (slackers at CBS...) but here are a couple of clips from Bishop Tutu's appearance:

The Right Reverend talks about President Obama
and freedom through forgiveness

Anyone watch Craig last night (Wednesday)? Anybody wanna guess who his only guest was?

Archbishop Desmond Tutu.

That is not a typo.
They were both outstanding: funny AND serious, insightful and silly. Go Craig!

OMG, wouldn't you know the one night I fell asleep in front of the TV, he'd have Desmond Tutu on.  I did see the one where he had the white unicorn puppet as competition with the dueling late night talk show hosts.

I would have loved to see last nights' show.  I wonder if there's an InnerTube of it?

edit:   oh my gosh, Justine said that there will be one on CBS.  Thanks!

Both Craig and The Rt. Rev. Tutu have just zipped to the tip top of my "who I wish to have over for dinner" list...

Good thread topic. I agree, those two would definitely be at or near the top of my list too.

Who knew? I didn't need to be so agonized over the election results because pollster Henry Winkler predicted it RIGHT HERE...

I am so glad that the website has full episodes now. Before, I would watch his opening "talks" and just howl, but would miss seeing his interaction with guests. One of the good, good, good recent interviews (if you want to call it that, but I lean toward "chat") was with Chris Matthews. Very informative, infuriating and hysterical.

Craig on Sexual Harrasment

That was a great bit. But it's not why I love Craig Ferguson. He is a unique combination of  funny, thoughtful, heart-sleeve-wearing, silly, serious. Some of his monologues really hit the mark: the two that clinched it for me were about Britney Spears (?!?!) and voting. Not the election, but voting. He is fiercely devoted to his adopted country, but not in a scary way: he really loves America, but is not blind to its faults and shortcomings. AND he recognizes the ridiculousness of such things as state-mandated sexual harassment training: I had no idea Kalifornia had such a law!

I was lucky enough to see him perform here. He did a lot of bits I'd seen before, but was still really great.

Craig Ferguson is one of the very few television personalities who seems like they'd be fun to hang out with.

Oh, bummer. It's very funny. Especially funny since the night he talked about having to watch a sexual harassment video at CBS, I had to watch one where I work. The one I watched was incredibly out of date and the company had to spend $400 for the rights to broadcast it. I wonder what one Craig got to watch.

Anywho, CBS just redid the Late Late Show web page, so I'll see if I can find a better link...
Try this one... 10/29/2008
