Really didn't know if he was still breathing.  Glad he's still with us, storm's just wouldn't be the same without him.  The man has enough adrenaline to keep a herd of elephants on a rampage for a year.  He must need the rush from all those 'canes to feed his habit.

Re the storm magnet part, it's mere probability.  They put him in the highest probability place for destruction.  I'm thinking he likes it....

Is he dead or alive ?  He hasn't been heard from since about 2 AM this morning which is about the time Ike slammed into Galveston.  And not one word on the Weather Channel.  He is conspicuous in his absence.

One thing I do know is that if I lived near a body of water and he showed up, I would go as far away from him in an inland direction as fast as I could.  He's a storm magnet.  He's probably been in more hurricane eyes on the ground than any one else living.
