I'll admit it's like walking into a room and smelling overwhelming Axe body spray. You know someone thought it was funny or cute but there's nothing about it that feels grown up.

And the point of being such an annoyance is..? It's gotta be ego: "look how I can control the setting. Finally I have power."
But it's so empty. The amount of energy is high, but the amount of payoff is negligible. 

It's either immaturity or mental illness, AFAICT. It's more likely the latter. Each post and alt being more confirmative.

Getting back to your post, I just avoid opening a forum with certain names listed as most recent poster. And wait for the stench to clear. But it doesn't suggest that normal folks with something worth saying won't stick with a site they might've been on for literal decades.
